July 28, 2025: Belle's Picks, Player Props & Parlays ⚾️

July 28, 2025

Why These Picks?

-TOR Blue Jays Team Total Over 4.5 (-115) | 0.5 Units

-ARI Diamondbacks v DET Tiger Over 9.0 (-115) (alternate total) | 0.25 Units

-LA Dodgers -1.5 (+105) | 0.25 Units

-MIA Marlins ML (-105) | 0.25 Units

Why These Picks?

TOR Blue Jays v BAL Orioles: The pitching matchup here is seemingly one-sided, friends. 4 of Chris Bassitt’s (3.88 ERA) last 5 starts have resulted in a Blue Jays win, but his ERA on the road (5.66) is pretty similar to Eflin’s. That said, I fully expect the visitors to put at least 5 runs on the board here. Baltimore starter Zach Eflin’s (5.78 ERA) last 4 straight starts have resulted in a loss for the Orioles. To boot, 3 of those 4 losses saw their opponents bag at least 7 runs – and to be frank, those opponents didn’t have offenses nearly as solid as the Blue Jays’ current batting lineup. With Toronto having scored at least 5 runs in their last 5 straight wins over the Orioles, my money’s on the Jays to bag at least 5 today.

ARI Diamondbacks v DET Tigers: Between Tigers starter Troy Melton (10.80 ERA) and Diamondbacks starter Eduardo Rodriguez, I can’t imagine that this game sees a total of less than 9. To be fair, Melton has only had one start so far this season, but it wasn’t a good one at 6 ERs. So long as the Diamondbacks batting lineup doesn’t decide to no-show for a third game in a row, I say this encounter easily sees 10. FYI, I’ve gone with an alternate of 9.0 instead of 8.5 at the lesser return (I’ll happily risk a ‘Push’ here for a bit more money).

LA Dodgers v CIN Reds: Yoshinobu Yamamoto (2.55 ERA) is a far better arm than Chase Burns (6.65 ERA), friends. To be frank, this is not the kind of game the Dodgers can be dropping. Assuming LA's offense turns up, this should be a solid win for them. My money's on the Dodgers to cover the RL.

MIA Marlins v STL Cardinals: If the Marlins can go toe-to-toe with the Brewers in Milwaukee, they can undoubtedly beat the Cardinals with Andre Pallante (4.91 ERA) on the mound. Pallante’s last 5 straight starts have resulted in a loss for St. Louis – 3 of which were total shutouts. Miami has been playing far too well for me not to go for the upset, and I think starter Edward Cabrera (3.48 ERA) can keep the Cardinals at bay long enough for his team to secure a victory. Give me the Marlins to win.

Today's Picks

-TB Rays ML (-115) | 0.25 Units

-TOR Blue Jays v DET Tigers Over 8.5 (-110) | 0.5 Units

-TOR Blue Jays ML (-105) | 0.25 Units

-NY Mets ML (-120) | 0.25 Units

Why These Picks?

TB Rays v CIN Reds: This victory belongs to the Rays, friends – I just can’t get on board with Brady Singer (4.84 ERA). The Reds have lost 4 of Singer’s last 5 starts, and Tampa Bay starter Shane Baz (4.66 ERA, 8-6) has, at least, been decent on the road with an Away ERA of 2.91. While I'd agree that neither starter inspires a ton of confidence, I think the Rays avoid getting swept. I'm on Tampa to win.

TOR Blue Jays v DET Tigers: The Blue Jays offense is just too good, betting fam. Toronto is on a ridiculous heater, and I highly doubt Detroit starter Jack Flaherty (4.77 ERA)  is where they decide to put the brakes on. 4 of Flaherty’s last 5 starts have resulted in losses for the Tigers, and 4 of Blue Jays pitcher Max Scherzer’s (5.14 ERA) last 5 outings have seen at least 9 runs. I know Detroit’s offense has been rough, but Scherzer has allowed 4 HRs over his last 2 starts – I think they get enough on the board here to push this total Over 8.5. To be frank, I won’t be surprised if Toronto bags 7 of the runs by themselves. My money’s on the Over to cash. As for a winner, there’s no way I’m betting against the Blue Jays offense – especially when the Tigers have all but been a sleep for the past 14 games. I say Toronto bags the sweep.

NY Mets v SF Giants: The Mets & starter Kodai Senga vs the Giants bullpen? I’ll bite. Relief Pitcher Matt Gage is listed to start for the San Fransisco, but Gage never pitches more than two innings – and thus, it’s highly likely that the Giants will cycle through their bullpen today. Meanwhile, Kodai Senga (1.79 ERA) is undoubtedly one of New York’s best starters. Senga’s last 5 starts have resulted in a win for the Mets, I don’t think today will be any different. Take the Mets to bring home the win.
