A few years ago, I was doing what a lot of people do: working long days at a job that didn’t light me up. I was good at it, but I wasn’t happy. I kept thinking, “Is this really it?”
Then on the side — quietly — I was betting. Not recklessly. Not chasing. Just carefully, consistently, and with a growing understanding of where the edges were. I wasn’t winning every bet (who does?), but I was winning more than I was losing — and more importantly, I was learning.
Eventually, I realized that what I loved most was the strategy. The process. The challenge of spotting patterns the books missed. I started sharing those insights online — and to my surprise, people wanted more. I distinctly remember posting on Reddit, asking the public if people even liked betting newsletters (lol)...
So, I bet on myself. I left the job. I built Belle’s Picks. Now, I wake up every day doing what I love: digging into matchups, helping others bet smarter, and building something real from the ground up. It wasn’t easy — it still isn’t — but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
