Today's Picks
-PHI Phillies Team Total Over 4.5 (-115) | 0.25 Units
-ARI Diamondbacks v PIT Pirates Over 8.5 (-120) | 0.5 Units
-ARI Diamondbacks Team Total Over 4.5 (-115) | 0.25 Units
-TEX Rangers ML (-115) | 0.25 Units
-CHI Cubs v CHI White Sox Over 9.0 (-120) | 0.5 Units
Why These Picks?
PHI Phillies v NY Yankees: The Phillies undoubtedly come into this encounter with the better arm, friends. Starter Ranger Suarez should be able to keep the Yankees in check – but to be frank, I think Philadelphia's offense is going to run cirlces around Marcus Stroman (5.64 ERA), who's actually worse at home than he is on the road. Both of Stroman's last two losses saw opponents score at least 6 runs – I say the Phillies follow suit.
ARI Diamondbacks v PIT Pirates: 4 of Andrew Heaney’s (5.03 ERA) last 5 starts have seen final totals of at least 9 runs, and while Heaney isn’t my favourite Pittsburgh starter, I was very surprised to see him give up 7 runs to the Chicago White Sox his last time out. The Diamondbacks offense is undoubtedly the more capable party, but Pittsburgh has a knack for putting points on the board at home. I'll take the Over to cash here, but I'm also putting a sprinkle on Arizona to bag at least 5.
ATL Braves v TEX Rangers: Kumar Rocker (5.66 ERA) is going to play this game better than his current ERA would like to admit. Rocker has been an exceptional starter at home (Home ERA 1.66), and 4 of Braves starter Grant Holmes' last 5 starts have resulted in a loss for Atlanta. My money's on the Rangers to bag a wiin at home.
CHI Cubs v CHI White Sox: This encounter’s total has the potential to land on the moon, friends. The Chicago White Sox have come back after the All-Star break as a seemingly powerful offense (seriously, wtf?) 6 of their last 7 games have cashed the Over with ease, and the Cubs’ offense is more than capable of running up a total (especially against White Sox starter Aaron Civale…) I fully expect this game to breeze past 9 runs; I’m on the Over to hit.

Today's Picks
-MIL Brewers -1.5 (-105) | 0.5 Units
-MIL Brewers Team Total Over 4.5 (-120) | 0.25 Units
-TOR Blue Jays ML (-105) | 0.25 Units
-SD Padres Over 4.5 (-115) | 0.25 Units
-SD Padres ML (-130) | 0.25 Units
Why These Picks?
MIA Marlins v MIL Brewers: Starter Freddy Peralta (2.85 ERA) is as close to flawless at home as a pitcher and be, friends; the man is a perfect 7-0. Peralta’s last 5 straight starts for Milwaukee have resulted in a Brewers win by at least 5 runs, and his last 6 starts have seen the Over cash. On the other side, while starter Cal Quantrill (5.24 ERA) is certainly one of the Marlins better pitchers, his 6.20 ERA on the road is a far cry from Peralta’s 1.53 at home. After watching Milwaukee leave the Mariners and Seattle starter Luis Castillo in the dust, my money’s on the Brewers to cover the RL today and on the home squad to cash their Team Total Over.
TOR Blue Jays v DET Tigers: Until the Tigers offense shows some signs of life, it makes no sense to bet against the Blue Jays. Toronto is currently on the heater of their baseball life – and despite Berrios (3.87 ERA) having a rough month, 4 of his last 5 starts have resulted in a Blue Jays victory. Give me Toronto to win for a nice price.
SD Padres v STL Cardinals: St. Louis starter Miles Mikolas (5.20 ERA) is a fade all day every day for me this season – the man just can’t seem to find his stride. Padres starter Nick Pivetta (2.81 ERA) is undoubtedly the better arm here. So long as the San Diego offense can pull their weight, this should be a win for the visitors. I’m on the Padres to claim victory and on the Team Total Over to cash.
