Why This Pick?

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I actually think Washington upsets this game. The Wizards beat the Nets by 20 back in January, and Washington has outright won 3 of their last 5 meetings with Brooklyn. I know the Wizards are visiting here, but they’re also fresh off a road victory over the usually formidable Detroit Pistons. And, I hate to say it…but fading the Nets has only made me money so far this season. I’ve gotta take the underdog to cover the spread, friends.

Well friends, I'm just going to come out and say it: This was an insane betting day. Unfortunately, a solid chunk of the NY Knicks line up got ruled out before game time (and shortly after I sent out today's Pick of the Day). It absolutely sucks when that happens – I felt like as the morning and early afternoon went on, the bad news just kept on coming for the Knicks, and unfortunately at that point we couldn't cash out without taking a loss! 

In other crazy news, the Boston Celtics were an absolute no-show against the Miami Heat in the first quarter of their game. In classic Celtics fashion, they came storming back in the last quarter 😂 Unfortunately by that time, it wasn't enough to cash the Over. That said, shout out to Payton Pritchard for putting up points this evening (Payton Pritchard Over 17.5 Points ✅) and cashing our prop. 

Today was not the cash cow we were hoping for – but tomorrow's a new day, and our month is still looking good so far overall!

Update: Karl-Anthony Towns got ruled "doubtful" moments after I posted this – Knicks ML now at +135, Knicks +3.5 is priced at -115. If you haven't locked in yet, I'd split your wager between the ML & the +3.5.
