These two squads are moving in two completely different directions, and with the Broncos sitting at 7-2, I expect them to win by double digits at home against a struggling visitor (despite this being a divisional matchup). To be frank, I can’t imagine a universe where the Raiders find a way to break through the Broncos’ defense; give me Denver to cover. As far as the total goes, the Over cashed in both of last year’s meetings between these two; I think the Broncos will put enough on the board to see this game fall on the North side of 43. I’ll also toss a sprinkle on the Over to hit.

STL Blues v BUF Sabres: I can’t think of a better spot to place a wager on the Sabres. The Blues come into this game with Joel Hofer (5.02 GAA) goaltending, as a visitor, and on a back-to-back. If Buffalo doesn’t lock down a regulation win here, I’d be stunned. With every advantage at their disposal, take the Sabres to bag a victory without the need for OT.

ANA Ducks v DAL Stars: I’m taking a slight alternate here, as I do think this game hits 7 goals. 4 of the last 5 meetings between these two teams have seen at least 6 goals, and despite tonight’s very capable goaltenders, the Ducks offense has been on fire. Anaheim has scored 16 goals in just their last 3 outings, and I don’t doubt that Dallas will put a few on the board here. I’ve gotta put my money on the Over to cash.

PHX Suns v GS Warriors: I know we don’t love double digit spreads, but the Suns have been horrible on the road. Meanwhile, the Warriors continue to play their best basketball at home (their last home outing saw them squash the LA Clippers by 19 points…) Phoenix hasn’t covered the spread in any of their Away games so far this season, and it’s tough for me to think they’ll start against a squad that’s covered the spread in all of their home outings so far. My money’s on Golden State to win by a landslide.

WIN Jets v LA Kings: Both of tonight’s goaltenders are formidable (it’s likely that Hellebuyck and Kuemper get the start…). That said, the Jets are an impressive 4-0 on the road – and I’m still not convinced that the Kings with a mere 5 wins out of 13 outings have the chops to take down Winnipeg (even if they do have the home advantage). I’m on the Jets to snag a victory for plus money.

NSH Predators v MIN Wild: This game should finish with at least 7 goals on the board, friends – especially if Justus Annunen gets the start like I think he will. One he’s confirmed, I imagine this line will move. Nashville & Minnesota have each cashed the Over in 3 of their last 4 outings, and have cashed it in 4 of their last 5 meetings with each other. My money’s on this evening’s encounter to follow suit.
