On the other side, Jacksonville has had little to no issue moving the ball, putting at least 27 points on the board in each of their last 6 straight games, and at least 35 in their last 2 games at home. My money’s on the Over to cash here, friends.

ARI Cardinals v HOU Texans: The Texans defense has more than proven itself over the last few weeks. Houston has found plenty of success at home and on the road over their last 5 games, while the Cardinals have been getting absolutely decimated for that same 5 week stint. With a mere 1 win over their last 11 games, I don’t think Arizona’s offense will have any answer for the Texans’ all-encompassing defense. I’m on Houston to cover.

IND Colts v SEA Seahawks: While the Seahawks defense is formidable, their offense is also completely capable of bagging most of these points by themselves. Toss in the fact that the Colts are starting Phillip Rivers today? This encounter could very well get ugly quick, and result in one side racking up a quick total. While I do see a case to be made for a low scoring affair (Indianapolis’ defense is no slouch…) I think the alternative is far more likely. Take the Over to hit.

CHI Bulls v NO Pelicans: This total is as high as it is for good reason, friends. I know a big total tends to scare people away, but the last encounter between these two reached a staggering 273 points. With the Bulls playing at a notoriously break-neck pace and the Pelicans having bagged at least 132 points in their last 2 outings, I'm on the Over to cash in spades.

CHI Bulls v CHA Hornets: The last 3 meetings between these squads have found themselves well beyond 229 points, friends. In addition, as much as I’m not in a rush to back the Hornets, at home is the one place where they don’t seem to struggle putting points on the board (Charlotte actually won their last home game against Chicago just a couple weeks ago…), and the Bulls have lost their last 7 straight outings. Given that the spread in this game is only -3.0 (it was -1.5 before LaMelo Ball was ruled out…), it looks like the book has plenty of confidence in their ability to keep up with the second fastest team in the NBA. Despite the growing ILs, I think Chicago has an opportunity to “ball out” here so to speak. I’m on the Over to cash.

BKN Nets v DAL Mavericks: I’ve gotta roll with Dallas here. The Mavericks have won 4 of their last 5 games against some formidable opponents, managing victories by double digits over the Nuggets (in Denver!) and the Miami Heat. Not only are the Nets far less capable than both of those squads, but they’re coming into this matchup with some notable players still on the IL. My money’s on the Mavericks to cover at home.

CLE Cavaliers v WAS Wizards: These two teams are trending in completely different directions, and I have no doubt Cleveland will win by copious amounts. That said, the Wizards have cashed the Over in 3 of their last 4 games – despite not bagging many wins, they still seem to know how to put points on the board (especially at home). To boot, we all know the Cavaliers are no slouch offensively. I’m on the Over to cash and on Cleveland to cover.
