The Pistons have won their last 5 straight games against some tough opponents, and while the Spurs are equally as formidable, I have to give the edge to the slightly (SO slight…) better defense at home. I’m on Detroit to pick up a win. As for the total, these two squads both sit in the top 3 for best defensive teams in the league. I’ll sprinkle the Under to cash.

I’ll be honest, I thought we had both the picks sweep AND the parlay in the bag. I can’t believe the Spurs blew it in the last minute of the game – they went from being up 28 points to being up just 17 in a mere 1:30?! I’m stunned. 

Thank God the Rockets held on (barely) – they managed to cover the spread, but they went from being up 16 on the Knicks to finishing down 2! The Over was looking very promising until Houston hit the brakes in the 4th quarter… 

We nearly had a couple of bad beats, but I’m glad it was limited to just the one. Of course, I always hate it when Pick of the Day is our only miss on picks. We took a minimal loss, but nothing crazy enough do dampen the spirit of our hot streak 😉

Far better teams have lost by larger deficits to the Spurs; I won’t be surprised if the home team wins this one by 50. With 0 hesitation, I’m on San Antonio to cover at home.

DET Pistons v CHI Bulls: This pick might be an unpopular opinion given how close the Bulls have managed to keep their last few home games, but watching Detroit take down the Knicks in New York by double-digits has me thinking the Pistons will have little to no issue with Chicago. The Bulls have lost 9 of their last 10 outings, and 3 of 4 Detroit’s last 4 wins have been by at least 18 points. To boot, I have a feeling Cade Cunningham will have (another) big game here. I’m on the visitors to cover tonight.

HOU Rockets v NY Knicks: The Knicks have actually lost their last 2 games at home, one of which was to a far lesser team than Houston. Even if NY pulls off the win tonight, I don’t doubt the victory will fall within a basket. The Rockets are wildly capable on the road (they’ve won their last 5 straight Away games), and I expect they'll give the Knicks a run for their money. I’m on Houston to cover.
