Aug 15, 2025: Belle's Picks, Player Props & Parlays ⚾️

August 23, 2025

Today's Picks

-PIT Pirates v CHI Cubs Under 9.0 (-110) | 0.5 Units

-CHI Cubs -1.5 (-105) | 0.5 Units

-MIL Brewers ML (-140) | 0.5 Units

-PHI Phillies v WAS Nationals Under 8.0 (-110) | 0.5 Units

-NY Yankees v STL Cardinals Over 9.0 (+100) | 0.5 Units

Why These Picks?

PIT Pirates v CHI Cubs: This was a surprise to me, friends – but the Under has cashed in the last 4 straight encounters between these two squads, and Chicago has only actually won 1 of their last 5 encounters with Pittsburgh by 2+ runs. That said, it also looks like the Pirates will be running a bullpen game (Braxton Ashcraft typically only pitches 2-3 innings), and the Cubs are at home. Hilariously, the one game in which the Cubs smoked the Pirates by 5 runs was also started by Colin Rea (4.09 ERA) and get this…Paul Skenes?! I’m on the Under to cash, but I’ll also roll the dice on the RL given the latter stat.

MIL Brewers v CIN Reds: I don’t love a -140 return, but I’d throw down on Milwaukee to win outright at this price. At the time of writing, the only reason I’m not grabbing the RL is because the Brewers have yet to announce their starting pitcher, and Reds starter Nick Martinez’s (4.49 ERA) last 5 straight starts have resulted in a win for Cincinnati. That said, Milwaukee’s offense has been damn near untouchable having won their last 12 straight games. I’ll take the Brew Crew to bag another victory.

PHI Phillies v WAS Nationals: The Phillies offense has been a no-show for most of this week, and they somehow managed to take an L at the hands of the Nationals in the first game of this series yesterday. Today, Philly will start Zack Wheeler (2.68 ERA), who has had a rough couple of outings lately. On the other side, Washington starter MacKenzie Gore has allowed 14 runs in his last 3 outings. To be frank, if Philly’s offense was what we all know it to be right now, I’d be hammering the Over. But 6 of their last 7 games on the road have seen the Under hit;  I say the Under cashes again assuming Wheeler can pitch a solid game.

NY Yankees v STL Cardinals: This should be a high-scoring game, betting fam. Both of Luis Gil’s starts so far this season have seen at least 9 runs, and you all (surely by now…) know how I feel about Andre Pallante (4.95 ERA) who has allowed 8 ERs in his last 2 outings. Despite the Cardinals offense being lacklustre lately, they should bag enough runs over Gil to push this total to at least 9. I say the Over hits here, friends.

Aug 14, 2025: 🌙🦉 Post-Game Recap! Tough Day, Stronger Tomorrow...

August 15, 2025

I know, this post is going out obscenely late🌙🦉! In fact, it's probably into the early hours for my EST friends – but I wanted to touch base anyway. Today was a rough betting day, fam. No sugarcoating it, most of today’s picks just didn’t go our way, and Pick of the Day has been in a rough slump lately. I know it’s never fun riding through these stretches, but every long-time subscriber knows we always bounce back 😌👊🏽

Between now and the start of NFL, I’ll also be tweaking how I structure things for the free tier. You’ll still get solid value every day (prepare to be dazzled!) but I’m going to use this time to test a slightly different format that I think will keep my "freemium" tier profitable as we approach football season.

That said – how on EARTH did the Detroit Tigers only score 4 runs off a man (Bailey Ober) who's allowed 37 hits over his last 5 games?! 🤯

This is the tough part about a 'Pick of the Day' slump, friends. I look back on the pick, and I still love the read. I didn't hate the logic before the game started, and to be frank, I don't disagree with it post-game either.

Sometimes, the math just doesn't math. That said, I look forward to reinstating one of our legendary hot streaks 😉 Overall, picks and parlays are doing well for the month of August – I'll be bringing our spreadsheets up to date this weekend so you can all see where we're at!

Alright friends, I'm off for the night! Let's walk off this tough day and start fresh in the morning. Until then...

X

Belle

Aug 14, 2025: Belle's Picks, Player Props & Parlays (Premium) ⚾️

August 23, 2025

Today's Picks

-NY Mets -1.5 (+110) | 0.25 Units

-DET Tigers -1.5 (-125) | 0.25 Units

-DET Tigers Team Total Over 4.5 (-105) | 1 Unit

-DET Tigers v MIN Twins Over 7.5 (+100) | 0.25 Units

-ARI Diamondbacks Team Total Over 6.5 (-120) | 0.25 Units

-ARI Diamondbacks v COL Rockies Over 12.5 (-105) | 0.25 Units

Why This Pick?

NY Mets v ATL Braves: The Mets need a win, friends. I'll be frank – yesterday's loss was embarrassing! Giving up a 6-0 lead only to lose 11-6 is wild work, betting fam. Today, NY holds a substantial pitching advantage with Kodai Senga (2.30 ERA) on the mound. I'd be shocked if the Mets didn't win this encounter by multiple runs. Give me NY to clap back and cover the RL.

DET Tigers v MIN Twins: Minnesota starter Bailey Ober (5.16 ERA) will take to the mound today – and I hate to say it, but the man has had a rough go. Ober’s last 5 straight starts have resulted in a loss for the Twins, and his last encounter with Detroit saw Minnesota lose 10-5. Today, the Tigers will start their resident Ace, Tarik Skubal (2.35 ERA). This is a wildly lopsided matchup, friends – with Ober having allowed a whopping 37 hits over his last 5 starts, I say Detroit both covers the RL, gets at least 5 runs past him this evening AND cashes the overall game total.

ARI Diamondbacks v COL Rockies: The Diamondbacks should cash this over with ease, friends. Rockies starter Bradley Blalock (7.89 ERA) is currently sporting a Home ERA of 11.76 (BIG YIKES). Having allowed 12 runs over just his last 2 starts, this game has a chance to go to the moon. I’ll take both Arizona’s team total as well as the game’s Over to cash.

Aug 13, 2025: Belle's Picks, Player Props & Parlays (Premium) ⚾️

August 13, 2025

Today's Picks

-KC Royals -1.5 (+120) | 0.5 Units

-MIL Brewers -1.5 (-120) | 0.25 Units

-MIL Brewers Team Total Over 4.5 (-110) | 0.25 Units

-ARI Diamondbacks v TEX Rangers Over 8.0 (-115) | 0.25 Units

-NY Mets -1.5 (+105) | 0.25 Units

Why These Picks?

WAS Nationals v KC Royals: It's bold, friends – I know. But, the Nationals bullpen always sends me for plus money and the RL. Starter Seth Lugo (2.69 ERA) has also been the definition of solid at home, and Washington starter Jake Irvin’s last 3 straight losses have been by at least 5 runs. Lastly, Kansas City has won their last 4 straight meetings with the Nationals by at least 3. If you think the Royals snag a victory today (and I do…) the RL is the play. I say the Royals complete the sweep and win by at least two.

PIT Pirates v MIL Brewers: Until Milwaukee gives me a reason to stop betting on them to win by copious amounts of runs, I’ll roll with them. Brewers starter Brandon Woodruff (2.29 ERA) is a flawless 4-0, and while Pittsburgh’s Mitch Keller is far from terrible, I just don’t think he’ll get the support of his offense required to keep up with the brew crew. I’m on Milwaukee to cover the RL and put at least 5 in the bag.

ATL Braves v NY Mets: This pick really comes down to two things, friends. One, I just don’t trust Carlos Carrasco (6.18 ERA) on the mound. Carrasco has allowed 9 earned runs and a staggering 16 hits over his last two starts – the Mets should have no issue running up a total here. And while I do think David Peterson (2.98 ERA) is the better arm in this matchup, he’s also been pretty hittable in his last two starts having allowed 6 runs and 9 hits.
