Aug 12, 2025: Belle's Picks, Player Props & Parlays ⚾️

August 12, 2025

Today's Picks

-PHI Phillies -1.5 (-110) | 0.25 Units

-MIL Brewers ML (-125) | 0.25 Units

-KC Royals Team Total Over 4.5 (-130) | 0.5 Units

-KC Royals -1.5 (+110) | 0.25 Units

Why These Picks?

PHI Phillies v CIN Reds: I am whole-heartedly on the Phillies here, friends. Cincinnati starter Brady Singer (4.53 ERA) has allowed 10 hits in just his last 2 outings – Philadelphia’s offense should run right over him. The visitors will start Ranger Suarez (2.94 ERA) and while Suarez has had a rough couple of starts, he’s been pitching far better on the road than he has been at home lately. I’m on Philly to cover the RL today.

PIT Pirates v MIL Brewers: This is a nice price for Milwaukee to win outright, betting fam. The first half of this game will likely be a bit of a stalemate with Freddy Peralta and Paul Skenes on the mound, but as soon as Skenes exits this game, Milwaukee will take over in my opinion. Despite Pittsburgh’s Ace on the mound, I say the Brewers bag home win.

WAS Nationals v KC Royals: With Mitchell Parker (5.43 ERA) starting for Washington on the road, Kansas City should bag a win here with ease. Parker has allowed a whopping 12 earned runs in just his last two starts. Meanwhile, Michael Wacha (3.36 ERA) is solid at home, and his last 4 straight starts have resulted in a Royals win by at least 2 runs. I’ll take the home squad to cover the RL and put at least 5 runs on the board today.

Aug 12, 2025: Belle's Pick of the Day 🛎️

August 12, 2025

-PHI Phillies v CIN Reds: Kyle Schwarber Over 1.5 Total Bases (-110) | 0.5 Units

Why This Pick?

Cincinnati starter Brady Singer (4.53 ERA) has allowed 10 hits in just his last 2 outings, friends. With today’s starter being entirely hittable so to speak, I imagine the entire Phillies lineup will get a piece. That said, if I’m picking favourites, my money’s on Kyle Schwarber to snag at least 2 bases today.

August 11, 2025

Today's Picks

-MIL Brewers -1.5 (+100) | 0.25 Units

-DET Tigers v CHI White Sox Over 8.5 (-120) | 0.5 Units

-DET Tigers Team Total Over 4.5 (-120) | 0.25 Units

-BOS Red Sox -1.5 (+105) | 0.25 Units

Why These Picks?

PIT Pirates v MIL Brewers: The Brewers should clean up here, friends. With the home advantage, the pitching advantage, and a better offense, I simply can’t imagine Milwaukee doesn’t take care of business. 4 of Pirates starter Andrew Heaney’s (4.77 ERA) last 5 outings have resulted in a loss, while the Brewers have won 9 of their last 10 games. With Jose Quintana (3.57 ERA) getting the start, I’m on Milwaukee to cover the RL.

DET Tigers v CHI White Sox: I feel much better about the Detroit Tigers ever since Kerry Carpenter’s return, betting family. Detroit’s last 8 straight wins have all seen them score at least 5 runs, and yes, I do think they bag a victory over the White Sox…especially since it appears as though Chicago will run a bullpen game this evening. To be fair, I don’t love Chris Paddack (4.91 ERA) – and while the White Sox offense is always a wild card, I do think they get more than a few on the board here. Take the Over to cash today, friends.

BOS Red Sox v HOU Astros: Astros starter Colton Gordon’s last outing was, as it happens, against the Boston Red Sox. The Astros lost 7-3 in that meeting at Fenway Park – but more importantly, Houston has lost 4 of Gordon’s last 5 starts by at least 2 runs. On the other side, Boston will start their best – Garrett Crochet. Crochet’s last 5 straight outings have resulted in a Red Sox win; and while the Astros offense seems to be heating up, I think the gap in pitching talent is just too wide here. I’m on Boston to win by 2.

Today's Picks

-KC Royals ML (-105) | 0.25 Units

-HOU Astros v NY Yankees Over 9.0 (-105) | 0.25 Units

-MIA Marlins v ATL Braves Over 8.5 (-105) | 0.25 Units

-LA Angels v DET Tigers Over 9.0 (-120) | 0.25 Units

Why These Picks?

KC Royals v MIN Twins: I’ve gotta go with the underdog here – the Royals have a clear advantage in starting pitcher Ryan Bergert (2.83 ERA) this afternoon, and I have a feeling the Twins will turn to their bullpen early with Jose Urena (5.24 ERA) on the mound.

HOU Astros v NY Yankees: This might be an unpopular opinion, but this is a high-scoring game in my mind. Max Fried (2.78 ERA) has allowed 10 runs over his last 3 starts, and the Over has cashed in 4 of his last 5 outings. On the other side, Houston will start Relief Pitcher Jason Alexander (5.97 ERA) who's also seen the Over hit in 4 of his last 5 outings. How soon the Astros turn to the rest of their BP here also makes me lean towards a bigger total (Alexander could pitch anywhere from 3-6 innings...). My money’s on a high-scoring affair.

MIA Marlins v ATL Braves: The Braves will start Joey Wentz (5.34 ERA) who is technically a relief pitcher, but has pitched between 4-6 innings over his last 4 starts. Having said that, the Over has cashed in spades in 4 of his last 5 outings; I think today’s game follows suit. Take the Over to hit.

LA Angels v DET Tigers: All 5 of Casey Mize’s (3.50 ERA) last starts have seen a final score of at least 9 runs. On the other side, 4 of  Angels starter Jack Kochanowicz’s (5.85 ERA) last 5 outings have seen the Over cash. I think both offenses put at least 4 runs on the board here; my money’s on the Over.
