Why These Picks?

COL Avalanche v BUF Sabres: This matchup is just too one-sided in my opinion. Colorado is far and away the better squad having won 8 of their last 10 encounters with the Sabres. As far as the start of this season goes, Buffalo has lost their first two games having scored just a single goal across both outings. Meanwhile, the Avalanche has won 2 of their last 3, and their loss was a narrow one to the formidable Dallas Stars in a shoot out. My money’s on Colorado to bag a regulation win here, friends.

WIN Jets v NY Islanders: The Islanders have yet to give me a reason to throw money behind them, and they’ve lost to two teams that are far worse than the Winnipeg Jets. I don’t love a return that pays out less than 1.83, but this isn’t a bad price for Winnipeg to win outright on the road against a team who’s only lost. I’m on the Jets to bag a road victory.

NJ Devils v COL Blue Jackets: This might be one of my favourite plays on the board this afternoon. The Blue Jackets notoriously love to turn up at home, but they also managed to bag 7 goals all by themselves over the Minnesota Wild in their last game (on the road!) On the other side, the Devils have put 8 goals on the board in just their last 2 games. Take the Over to hit here.
