Why These Picks?

NY Knicks v DAL Mavericks: Whether the Knicks come into this game with Brunson or not, there’s no amount of money that could make me wager on the Mavericks at this point in time. While New York hasn’t been at their best on the road, Dallas has been abysmal without their two best players. In addition, -5.5 is incredibly reasonable for just about any team against the Mavericks in their current form, and if Brunson does decide to play, -5.5 is a steal of a deal. I’m on the Knicks to cover.

HOU Rockets v CLE Cavaliers: The Cavaliers have lost their last 3 straight meetings with the Rockets, and to be honest, Cleveland hasn’t been winning games by the large margins we all expected them to at home. E.g. The Grizzlies have been tragic so far this season, and the Cavaliers only managed to beat them by 8 – I expected better. Having said that, Houston has been formidable; and with Garland ruled out for tonight, I expect them to give the home team a run for their money. I’m on the Rockets to cover as well as on the Over to hit.

BOS Bruins v ANA Ducks: I can’t believe I’m saying this, but the Ducks are 6-1 at home. While the goaltenders for tonight have yet to be confirmed, I think tonight’s game is going to be a bit of a shoot out. 3 of the last 4 meetings between these two squads have seen at least 7 goals – and with Anaheim’s offense turning up at home the way they have been, I won’t be surprised by a high-scoring affair. Take the Over to hit for a nice price.
