Why These Picks?
UTA Jazz v OKC Thunder: The Thunder make just about every other squad in the NBA look like a beer league team when they’re playing at home (lol). That said, they’ve also shown us that no matter how badly they’re beating their opponent on their own court, slowing down isn’t really an option. Oklahoma City crushed the Lakers a couple days ago and still put 139 points in the bag. To boot, the Jazz have allowed their opponents to score at least 130 points in 6 of their last 7 outings. I’m wholly on the Thunder to put 131 on the board here.
IND Pacers v CLE Cavaliers: The Pacers have cashed the Over in 9 of their last 10 outings, friends. Betting on Indiana to play a high-scoring affair has been one of the most profitable bets in the NBA over the last few weeks. With the Cavaliers having put at least 118 points on the board in 3 of their last 4 games, this total is very achievable given that the Pacers are allowing at least as many per game these days. I’ll ride the “Over” train until it stops cashing.
ORL Magic v NO Pelicans: The Pelicans have dropped their last 7 straight, and to be really frank, neither one of these squads plays good defense. I think this game winds up being a shoot out; I’m on the Over to hit and on the visitors to cover.
