It’s tough to have much of a write-up at the moment, friends – pitchers are kicking off new Earned Run Averages for the year, teams are getting their sea legs back… But I’ll say this: Matthew Boyd finished 2025 with a 3.25 ERA, and Washington’s Cade Cavalli finished with a 4.25 ERA. To boot, Chicago’s lineup is full of capable hitters, and 3 of their last 4 meetings with the Nationals have gone beyond 7 runs. I’ll happily take the Over to cash here.

CLB Blue Jackets v MTL Canadiens: The last 3 straight meeting between these two teams have cashed the Over, and the Blue Jackets have put at least 3 goals on the board in 4 of their last 5 outings. On the other side, Montreal has put 12 goals in the bag in just their last 2 games. I say the Over hits here.

SEA Kraken v TB Lightning: Tampa’s last 4 straight wins have been by at least 3 goals – this includes a 6-2 victory over the Kraken in Seattle back on March 17. With the Kraken having dropped 4 of their last 5 games, I don’t doubt the Lightning in this spot. My money’s on Tampa to cover the PL tonight.

Illinois v Houston: The Sweet 16 is upon us! Houston’s defense is what wins this game in my opinion, friends. As the spread suggests, this encounter should be a close one – but ultimately, I think the Cougars pull off the win and cover with home court advantage. I’m on Houston to get it done and advance.
