Why These Picks?

ATL Hawks v HOU Rockets: The Rockets have been oddly “mid” lately…even at home. Houston has lost 4 of their last 6 games, and the Hawks are surging having won their last 11 straight. Atlanta has the potential to  be the best play on the board today, friends – I won’t be surprised if they pull off the upset. I’m on the visitors to cover.

Hofstra v Alabama: I don’t doubt a high-scoring affair here. The Crimson Tide have no issue putting points on the board even in their losses, and 11 of their last 12 outings have cleared 160. Take the Over to hit.

CAR Hurricanes v TOR Maple Leafs: I hate that my brain has started thinking this way about the Leafs – but if the Islanders cane take them down by multiple goals, I have no doubt the Hurricanes can do the same. Toronto has been tragic having lost 8 of their last 10, backing them in any way, shape or form is just non-sensical at this point. I’m on the visitors to cover the PL.
