Yes, both squads are averaging 3+ goals per game, but Ottawa is on the tail end of a back-to-back and their starting goalie will be out of the mix tonight. As for the home squad, Detroit has scored at least 4 goals in 5 of their last 6 outings. Overall, I think it would be difficult for this encounter’s final total to finish South of 7, but the Red Wings hold a clear advantage in this matchup. I’ll take Detroit to bag at least 4 for a nice return.

HOU Texans v NE Patriots: I wanted to leave the NFL alone today – I really did. But this might be one of the best plays on today's board. Two formidable defenses facing off in freezing temperatures? Say less. My money's on the Under to cash.

NO Pelicans v HOU Rockets: 4 of the last 5 meetings between these two teams have seen the Over cash in spades, but I’ve gotta be honest – I worry about the Pelicans’ ability to hang around here. The Rockets tend to be formidable at home, and New Orleans has allowed at least 122 points in 3 of their last 4 outings. I trust Houston here, but not their visitors. I’ll take the Rockets Team Total to go over.

TOR Raptors v LA Lakers: The last 8 encounters between these two squads have found themselves at totals of 223 or more. The Lakers have managed to cash the Over in their last 4 straight games, and despite being without Doncic & Reaves tonight, LA’s defense has been pretty abysmal. Meanwhile, I know Toronto’s defense has been pretty solid, but they’ve lost their last 6 straight meetings with Los Angeles. My money’s on a higher scoring affair here, but I also love the Raptors to put at least 113 of those points in the bag.
