Why These Picks?
PIT Pirates v BOS Red Sox: This is an easy one for me, friends. Pirates starter Mitch Keller (4.35 ERA) has allowed 14 runs on 18 hits over just his last 3 starts – putting 5 runs on the board should be light work for the Red Sox with him on the mound. Toss in the fact that they’ll be highly motivated to avoid getting swept? My money’s on the home squad’s offense to turn up this afternoon.
MIA Marlins v NY Mets: Miami starter Sandy Alcantara (5.87 ERA) is pretty rough on the road. With an Away ERA of 8.03, I have to imagine that this will be Open Season for the Mets batting lineup. I’ll take both the Over to cash and the home team to win by at least 2.
DET Tigers v KC Royals: Kansas City starter Michael Wacha (3.39 ERA) is undoubtedly his best self at home, and as we all know, Tarik Skubal (2.28 ERA) is basically his best everywhere (lol). I think runs will be tough to come by in this match up, but ultimately I think the Tigers will end up taking the win (3-1 Detroit is my prediction...) My money's on the Tigers to cover the RL and the Under to cash.
