Today's Picks

-HOU Astros v PIT Pirates Over 9.5 (alternate total) (-115) | 0.5 Units

-KC Royals ML (+110) | 0.25 Units

-KC Royals v STL Cardinals Under 8.5 (-120) | 0.25 Units

-MIN Twins v The Athletics Over 10.5 (-105) | 0.25 Units

Why These Picks?

KC Royals v STL Cardinals: This is a tough one, I admit – but Noah Cameron (1.05 ERA) hasn’t allowed more than 1 run in each of his last 4 outings. So tough as this game might be, it’s even harder to bet against a record like that in my opinion (and for plus money, no less). I’ll take the Under to hit and Kansas City to pull off a win.

HOU Astros v PIT Pirates: I’m taking a slight alternate here for a better price, friends. I just can’t get on board with -125…especially given how big a travesty this pitching matchup is (lol). Pittsburgh starter Mike Burrows’ last (and only…) 2 outings have seen final scores of 13 runs or more. On the other side, Astros starter Ryan Gusto is a logged 3-2, but his last 5 straight outings have seen Houston take an L – I imagine money on the Pirates is heavy today. That said, I do think the Astros will run up a healthy total on Pittsburgh here, and the Pirates should find more than a couple opportunities to score – I’m on this alternate Over to cash.

MIN Twins v The Athletics: I have to take the Over here, no other play makes sense. Twins starter Zebby Matthews (6.43 ERA) has allowed 10 runs over just 14 innings, and Jeffrey Springs’ (4.72 ERA) last two outings have seen totals of at least 14 runs (wtf?) My money’s on a high-scoring affair here.
