Why These Picks?
TB Rays v BAL Orioles: With both the home advantage and the pitching advantage, I’ve gotta take the Orioles to win. Tyler Wells (2.04 ERA) is exceptional at home, and his only 3 starts have resulted in a win for Baltimore. And, to be frank, I don’t think the Rays will get enough past him to win or cash the Over. My money’s on the home squad to snag a victory and on the Under to hit.
DET Tigers v CLE Guardians: I’m just going to come right out and say it – Jack Flaherty (4.60 ERA) is a disaster on the road (lol), and the Guardians are seemingly unstoppable at the moment. 4 of Flaherty’s last 5 starts have resulted in a Tigers loss, and each of those losses was by at least 2 runs. I know Detroit is eager to win some games, but I’m going after the Guardians RL for a nice +145 return.
KC Royals v LA Angels: Starter Stephen Kolek (3.56 ERA) hasn’t allowed more than 2 runs in a game since joining the Kansas City squad. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that LA starter Yusei Kikuchi’s (4.05 ERA) last 5 straight trips to the mound have resulted in an Angels loss. My money’s on the Royals to bag another win on the road for plus money, friends.
