Why These Picks?

CHA Hornets v CHI Bulls: The Over has cashed in 4 of the last 5 meetings between these two squads. If the Bulls weren’t at home, I’d be leaning towards the Under – but they’ve been managing to keep some really close games on their own court.As for the visitors, the Hornets offense has been on fire, and they’ve managed to cash the Over against both a terrible team (the WAS Wizards) and against a healthy Cleveland Cavaliers squad in their past two outings. My money’s on a higher-scoring affair here, friends.

WAS Wizards v ATL Hawks: This might be one of my all-time favourite high-scoring matchups. The Over has cashed in 5 of their last 6 meetings, and the Hawks have been far from formidable covering the spread at home as a favourite this season. If the Wizards (who are allowing over 122 points per game…) manage to keep this encounter within 10, it’ll bode exceptionally well for a higher total. Take the Over to cash.

MIA Heat v MIL Bucks: This pick comes down to the simple fact that I don’t trust the Bucks without Giannis on the court. After watching Milwaukee get stomped at home by the Toronto Raptors, it’s not hard to imagine a universe where the Heat rolls through and does the same. Miami has won 4 of their last 5 games, including a road victory over the Hawks by 30+ points. A spread of -6.5 isn’t near wide enough in my opinion, so I’m on the Heat to cover.
