Why These Picks?

NY Knicks v BOS Celtics: The Knicks offense isn’t nearly as all-encompassing on the road as they are at home. In addition, the last meeting between these two in NY struggled to crack 200 points, the Knicks have cashed the Under in their last 4 straight outings (all 4 saw less than 231…), and Boston has cashed it in 7 of their last 10. I know both of these squads sit in the top 5 offensively speaking (and this might be a bit of a sweat…), but my money’s on the Under to hit.

CHI Blackhawks v VGS Golden Knights: The last 3 meetings between these two teams saw final totals of at least 8 goals, and 4 of the last 5 encounters cashed the Over with ease. The Blackhawks defense is no where near solid enough to keep Las Vegas at bay, and the Golden Knights have called Carter Hart back to the NHL to goal tend tonight’s game. Take the Over to hit.

VAN Canucks v COL Avalanche: Plain and simple, the Canucks are just not “it” right now. While Kevin Lankinen is back in net, I expect the Avalanche to make light work of Vancouver here. The Canucks haven’t scored more than 2 goals in 4 of their last 5 games, but I expect Colorado to get at least 5 on the board here. I don’t usually toss score predictions out there, but I have a feeling this encounter ends 5-2 for the Avs. I’ll take the Over to cash for a nice price.
