Why These Picks?
LA Dodgers v WAS Nationals: With Sheehan & Mikolas on the mound today, I simply can’t see this game staying under 10 runs. Both pitchers had rough debuts, and both offenses have had little issue putting runs on the board. The Over should cash in spades here. My money’s on a high-scoring affair.
IND Pacers v CHA Hornets: The Pacers have been ridiculously reliable when it comes to yielding high-scoring affairs lately, friends. Indiana has cashed the Over in 7 of their last 8 outings, and they’ve put at least 128 points on the board in 4 of their last 5 games. As for recent performance between these two squads, the Hornets and the Pacers have cleared 235 points in 2 of their last 3 meetings. This is going to be an unpopular opinion – particularly because the Hornets have enjoyed a number of low-scoring games lately – but given how capable Charlotte’s offense is and how Indiana has been scoring, I think the Pacers hang around long enough to see the Over to hit here.
CHI Bulls v NY Knicks: The Bulls have lost 4 of their last 5 games by at least this much. Without overthinking it, betting on the Bulls to cover here simply makes no mathematical sense. Losing 4/5 times by 16+ is wild work – I’ll take the Knicks and the points at home.
