Why This Pick?

Dallas has won both of their games so far this season against two formidable opponents (the Winnipeg Jets & the Colorado Avalanche, if you’re curious). Don’t get me wrong, Minnesota has played a couple of great outings, but I’m still skeptical of their ability to hold their own on the road against a team like the Stars after watching them take a loss by 3 goals to the Columbus Blue Jackets. To be frank, I think it’s tough to make a case for any team against one of the league’s best on their own ice (particularly one that is quite literally scoring 5 goals/game so far this season…). My money’s on Dallas to secure a victory in regulation and remain undefeated.
