Why This Pick?

The Blue Jays offense is just too good, betting fam. Toronto is on a ridiculous heater, and I highly doubt Detroit starter Jack Flaherty (4.77 ERA) is where they decide to put the brakes on. 4 of Flaherty’s last 5 starts have resulted in losses for the Tigers, and 4 of Blue Jays pitcher Max Scherzer’s (5.14 ERA) last 5 outings have seen at least 9 runs. I know Detroit’s offense has been rough, but Scherzer has allowed 4 HRs over his last 2 starts – I think they get enough on the board here to push this total Over 8.5. To be frank, I won’t be surprised if Toronto bags 7 of the runs by themselves. My money’s on the Over to cash.
