HOU Rockets v OKC Thunder: 4 of the last 5 meetings between these two squads have comfortably sailed Over 228.0 points. I admit, it’s tempting to think both teams might get off to a slow start, or that the team with the league’s best defensive rating might bode well for a low-scoring affair, but that notoriously just hasn’t been the case when the Thunder faces the Rockets. My money’s on the Over to cash this evening.

SJ Sharks v NY Islanders: The Sharks are desperate for a win, but I don’t think they’re going to find it on the road. In addition, San Jose’s goaltending has been abysmal; tonight they’ll start Yaroslav Askarov (6.47 GAA). While I’m not the biggest fan of Islanders Ilya Sorokin (4.13 GAA), I think he’ll do enough to give NY a win by at least 2. Take the Islanders to cover the PL.

COL Avalanche v UTA Mammoth: I’ll be frank – the Mammoth have just been too terrible on a Power Play for me to think they’ll have an edge of any kind over the Avalanche. Having won 3 of their last 4 encounters with Utah and all 4 meetings seeing 6 goals or fewer, I’m on the Avs to win in regulation and on the Under to cash.
