SJ Sharks v WAS Capitals: The Capitals absolutely stomped the Sharks back on Dec 3 in San Jose – final score 7-1. That said, having won 6 of their last 8 outings, I have to admit, the Sharks have been playing some solid hockey over the last couple of weeks. As for today’s overwhelming Pick of the Day stat: San Jose has cashed the Over in 13 straight games. I expect them to contribute enough offense here to push the total to at least seven goals. I'll take the Over to hit, and toss a sprinkle on Washington to get this done in regulation.

DAL Stars v UTA Mammoth: The stars have had a ROUGH go over their last 10 games. Having won just 2 of their last 10, I can’t justify putting money on a team that simply isn’t living up to their potential (all of a sudden?!) Meanwhile, Utah has won 4 of their last 5, and is fresh off a sizeable win over the Toronto Maple Leafs. I’m on the Mammoth to bag a win at home.

BOS Celtics v MIA Heat: The Celtics have won 8 of their last 10 games against the Heat, and have won the last 4 straight meetings in Miami (both of their two losses were in Boston…) In addition, the 4 road wins were all by at least 8 points. To boot, Boston is playing much better basketball than Miami at the moment – I’ve gotta take the visitors to cover.
