Why These Picks?

WAS Wizards v BKN Nets: I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I actually think Washington upsets this game. The Wizards beat the Nets by 20 back in January, and Washington has outright won 3 of their last 5 meetings with Brooklyn. I know the Wizards are visiting here, but they’re also fresh off a road victory over the usually formidable Detroit Pistons. And, I hate to say it…but fading the Nets has only made me money so far this season. I’ve gotta take the underdog to cover the spread, friends. As for the total, I'll toss a sprinkle on Washington to bag at least 106 points (they've reached this milestone in 6 of their last 7 games).

CHA Hornets v ATL Hawks: The Hornets have won their last 8 straight games, and the Hawks have put at least 124 points on the board in their last 3 outings. I think this matchup has the potential to be the highest scoring game of the day. While Charlotte has been playing some lower-scoring affairs, I think Atlanta will force them to play at their pace at home. I’ll take the Hornets to cover, and the Over to cash.

GS Warriors v LA Lakers: This pick really only comes down to one thing for me, and it's that the Lakers are playing good enough basketball offensively to put at least 115 points on the board, but their defense is lacking enough to continuously allow at least 110. My money's on this game to fall just North of 223.
