Why This Pick?

With Luis Gil (5.14 ERA) only having a handful of games under his belt this season, I think the underdog has a solid chance of running the show here. Gil’s only 3 starts have seen him accumulate 8 Earned Runs on 16 hits. In short: He hasn’t been great. On the other side, Lucas Giolito (3.63 ERA) has allowed 15 hits over his last 3 outings. With the Yankees offense being on a bit of a tear (they’ve scored 27 runs in just their last 3 games, cashing the Over in their last 4 straight…) I don’t doubt they’ll get more than a few on the board despite Giolito having a strong few outings. My money’s on the Over to hit today, friends.
