Why This Pick?

It’s hard to like the Red Sox with Lucas Giolito (6.42 ERA) on the mound, friends. In his last outing, Giolito allowed the Angels (the Angels?!) to get 7 runs past him. I'll be frank – it's not difficult to imagine a universe where Tampa Bay runs up a fast score here. And while starter Ryan Pepiot (3.20 ERA) isn’t necessarily my favourite Rays starter, he hasn’t allowed more than 2 ERs across his last 3 outings. I’m on the visitors to lock down a win again here.
