Why This Pick?
The Athletics can’t seem to buy a win these days having lost 17 of their last 18, friends. To boot, Athletics starter Luis Severino (3.89 ERA, 6.20 ERA at home) is 0-4 at home – it doesn’t make any sense to back him in conjunction with this As offense. The Twins should make light work of the As with Joe Ryan (5-2, 2.57 ERA) on the mound, who’s only allowed 6 earned runs over his last 5 outings. I’m on Minnesota to cover the RL here.
