Cincinnati’s last 3 straight games have finished at over 60 points (seriously…) and until they can get their defense to actually start defending, I imagine that’s a trend that will continue. As for Pittsburgh, they’ve allowed at least 20 points in their last 4 straight outings. My money’s on the Over to cash comfortably here, friends.

TB Buccaneers v BUF Bills: The Bills have looked pretty rough over the last couple of weeks, but I’d say the cornerstone of this statement was their squad getting absolutely spanked by the Miami Dolphins last Sunday. In addition, the weather people are saying Buffalo could see winds as high as 41 mph with a chance of rain and snow (I love a snow game…) In short: I imagine this will slow things down a bit. I’m on Tampa to keep things close today.

DET Lions v PHI Eagles: Detroit has cashed the Over in 7 of their 9 outings this season, and the last 4 straight meetings between these two teams have comfortably cashed the Over. With the Lions offense as dialled as it is, and the Eagles having allowed at least 20 points in 3 of their last 4 outings, the Over is the only play here in my opinion.

The Cavaliers have won their last 5 straight meetings with Memphis, and unfortunately, the Grizzlies’ offense has taken a turn for the worse over the last 2 years (seriously, what happened?!) To boot, Memphis has yet to cover the spread as an underdog this season. For all of these reasons, I’m on the Cleveland to cover at home, friends.

So far this season, the Hornets have come to the table with a minimum of 105 points in each game, and while they’ve definitely struggled, 4 of their last 5 outings have seen a final total of at least 228 points. With the Over having cashed in 4 of the last 5 meetings between these two squads, my money’s on a higher scoring affair today – but also on the Thunder to cover that diabolical double-digit spread.

In addition, they’ll be on the road today up against a Stars squad that’s looking for their 5th straight win. After watching Dallas shutout the Canadiens 7-0 in Montreal, it’s tough for me to think they won’t take down the Flyers by more than 1 goal – especially since they’re rested on their own ice. I’m going for the plus money today, everyone – take Dallas to cover the PL.

Why These Picks?

POR Trail Blazers v HOU Rockets: The Rockets have been wildly efficient so far this season. Having won 7 of their last 8 (and all by at least 7 points…), it’s tough for me to make a case against Houston in this spot. Portland has only had one loss by more than 7 points so far this season, but with the home advantage and a relatively healthy roster, I think covering -7.5 is very reasonable against a Trail Blazers squad that’s missing some key components. To boot, Portland has lost 6 of their last 7 meetings with Houston by a sizeable chunk of points. I’m on the Rockets to cover tonight, friends.

BKN Nets v ORL Magic: Both of these teams are missing too much fire power for me to think this total even touches 200, let alone 223.0! Paolo Banchero is undoubtedly any/all of the reason I’d think the Magic can cover a spread of -13.5, and he’s been ruled out for this evening. On the other side, the Nets are without Cam Thomas. Hell, even with a healthy squad, the Nets haven’t cracked more than 112 points in their last 5 straight outings.  I’m on the Under to cash in spades here.

MIA Heat v NY Knicks: With the Knicks having bagged at least 130 points in 3 of their last 4 outings, and Miami cashing the Over in their last 4 straight games, I imagine this encounter sees at least 240. I know Jalen Brunson is out, but there’s plenty of fire power available to score in his place. In addition, gone are the days of the Heat’s slow-paced tendencies (remember when?!) That said, with Bam Adebayo still out, I do think the Knicks step up and cover at home. I’m on both the Over to cash as well as on the home squad to win by at least 6.
