Aug 8, 2025: Belle's Picks, Player Props & Parlays (Premium) ⚾️

August 8, 2025

Today's Picks

-CHI Cubs -1.5 (+110) | 0.25 Units

-CHI Cubs Team Total Over 4.5 (-115) | 0.5 Units

-CIN Reds v PIT Pirates Over 7.5 (-115) | 0.25 Units

-TOR Blue Jays v LA Dodgers Over 9.0 (+100) | 0.25 Units

Why These Picks?

CHI Cubs v STL Cardinals: St. Louis Starter Michael McGreevy (5.08 ERA)  has allowed 11 runs in just his last two starts, friends. On the other side, Cubs starter Matthew Boyd (2.34 ERA) is an impressive 11-4, and has allowed 5 runs across his last 5 starts. Boyd notably got blown up by the Milwaukee Brewers on July 28th, but has allowed 0 runs in 4 of his last 5 outings. The Over has cashed in 4 of McGreevy’s last 5 starts – but to be frank, I don’t think the Cardinals will get much past Boyd today. If the Over cashes it will likely be the Cubs’ doing. I know the Chicago offense has been a bit shaky lately, but this is the perfect spot for them to turn up. My money’s on the visitors to cover the RL & put at least 5 on the board.

CIN Reds v PIT Pirates: This might be the strangest line on the board today – a trap? Maybe – but to be honest, I understand why it is where it is. For starters, I can’t imagine either of these pitchers keeping this game Under 7.5. The Reds offense can be dangerous when they want to be, and I have no doubt they give Pittsburgh starter Mitch Keller (3.89 ERA) a run for his money. Keller has allowed 8 runs in just his last two starts – and oddly, while Chase Burns’ (6.04 ERA) last 5 outings have resulted in a loss for the Reds, not a single one made it Over 7 runs. Having said that, the Pirates offense is undoubtedly at their best at home. A gamble for sure, I wouldn’t blame you for sitting this one out –  but one that might pay off early. I’m on the Over to hit.

TOR Blue Jays v LA Dodgers: This game either lands right on 9 runs, or goes Over in my opinion. The Blue Jays offense is hitting the ball far too well right now for me to take the Under. To boot, the Jays have seen the Over cash in 8 of their last 10 games – and I have no doubt the Dodgers put enough on the board to push this total to or past 9. I'll take a stab at the Over for plus money.

Aug 8, 2025: Belle's Pick of the Day 🛎️

August 8, 2025

A quick note, friends – MLB has been wild this last couple weeks (particularly for POTD), so if you're playing it today, feel free to lower your units placed on it. There's literally nothing wrong with playing a bit lighter until things get hot again ;)

On that note:

-CHI Cubs Team Total Over 4.5 (-115) | 0.5 Units

Why This Pick?

St. I know the Chicago offense has been a bit shaky lately, but this is the perfect spot for them to turn up. My money’s on the visitors to put at least 5 on the board.

Aug 7, 2025: Belle's Picks, Player Props & Parlays (Premium) ⚾️

August 7, 2025

Today's Picks

-SEA Mariners Team Total Over 4.5 (-115) | 0.5 Units

-CIN Reds v PIT Pirates Under 7.0 (-115) | 0.25 Units

-MIA Marlins ML (-125)

Why These Picks?

SEA Mariners v CHI White Sox: Seattle has absolutely dominated this series, and today should be no exception. The Mariners have scored at least 5 runs in 6 of their last 7 meetings with the White Sox – and with the home advantage and their offense cooking the way that it is, I won’t be surprised if they cash today’s Over for both teams all by themselves. That said, Chicago will desperately be trying to avoid getting swept, and Seattle barely held onto the RL cover last night (steering clear of that today…). For all of these reasons, my money is on the Mariners to put at least 5 in the bag.

CIN Reds v PIT Pirates: I simply can’t wrap my head around a high-scoring game with Paul Skenes on the mound at home. With the exception of Skenes’ start at notorious Coors Field, he’s only allowed 2 runs over 4 of his last 5 starts. And while I’m not the biggest Brady Singer fan, only one of his last 5 starts have seen a total of more than 7 runs. I’m on the Under to hit for this one.

MIA Marlins v ATL Braves: Starter Eury Perez (2.70 ERA) is a much more reliable arm than Carlos Carrasco (5.68 ERA), friends. Having won 6 of their last 8 games, I’ve gotta run with the Marlins here. The Braves offense has been the definition of unreliable, and against Perez? I don’t see them putting more on the board than Miami. Take the Marlins to win on the road.
