Why These Picks?
STL Cardinals v TEX Rangers: I can’t back the Rangers with any kind of confidence right now. Having lost 8 of their last 10 games, I don’t think Texas is picking up a win against the St. Louis offense. And, to be frank, I'd be very surprised if the Cardinals didn't cover the RL here. I'll roll the dice on plus money and the team that's won 5 of their last 6 today, friends – give me St. Louis to win by 2.
DET Tigers v KC Royals: Both of today’s starting pitchers are solid, friends. Casey Mize has allowed a single run in 4 of his last 5 starts, while Seth Lugo has allowed 2 runs or less in 3 of his last 4 outings. That said, Mize & Lugo actually “faced off” back on April 19, and the game total came to 4 runs (resulting in a Tigers win…) Kansas City has only put 11 runs on the board over their last 4 outings, and Detroit has cashed the Under in 7 of their last 8 games. I’m on the Under to hit today and the Tigers to bag a road win.
COL Rockies v NY Mets: The last 8 straight encounters between these two squads have seen 8 runs or more. While I highly suspect David Peterson will have no issue keeping the Rockies in check, this matchup has the potential to be an absolute blowout with Kyle Freeland on the mound for Colorado. I’ll take the Over to cash.

-TB Rays v HOU Astros Over 8.0 (-120) | 0.5 Units
Why This Pick?
This should be a high-scoring affair, friends. Neither one of today’s pitchers has inspired confidence lately. Taking a look at Rays starter Shane Baz’s stats (4.94 ERA), the man has allowed 22 runs on just 34 hits this month – in short, dude’s having a rough go. On the other side, the Astros will start Ryan Gusto (4.58 ERA) who allowed 2 Home Runs over just 4 hits in his last outing?! Between these two on the mound and the capable offenses on each side, I’m on the Over to cash here.

The Athletics v TOR Blue Jays: This pick really comes down to one thing. To be honest, I love Jacob Lopez (2.57 ERA) on the mound. Despite being 0-2, the man has had a number of great starts only to get let down by the bullpen in each game. Lopez has only actually allowed 5 runs in his last 5 outings – and yet the Athletics managed to lose all 5 of those games. In my opinion, Berrios (4.22 ERA) is the lesser pitcher in this equation – I think the As will get a few runs past him. But ultimately, once Lopez makes his exit, I fear for the fate of the As. I imagine the Blue Jays will take over and drive up a total. To be clear: I don't love the Jays' bullpen right now either; if Hoffman sees the mound, I expect an even higher scoring game (lol). I say this game hits at least 9 runs due to what will likely transpire in the later innings.
WAS Nationals v SEA Mariners: The Mariners got absolutely stomped yesterday. And while Emerson Hancock (5.95 ERA) isn't George Kirby, I still think the Nationals will bag more than a few runs off of him today. I know Seattle is going to be hellbent on rectifying that shutout, but Gore has been a much better pitcher than Hancock lately. That said, I don't think either of today's pitchers have the chops to keep this game Under 7.5 (4 of Hancock's last 5 outings have seen totals of 8 or more). I'm on the Over to cash again, and I'll take my chances with the Nationals to pull off another win.

SO NEARLY a sweep, ha ha! But 4/5 is real nice, so I won't complain 🤪 I can't believe we missed the Athletics/Astros total by one run (final total was 8!)
I'm thrilled that the St. Louis Cardinals pulled off a win – plus money just hits different!
As for our Pick of the Day: I'm so glad it hit, but damn – the Nationals covering the total all by themselves was not on my betting bingo card! The Seattle Mariners got shut out 9-0; unbelievable. But hey, I'm glad we cashed ;)
Alright friends, that's all I've got for tonight! Enjoy your wins, and as always, I'll see you all bright and early.
