Why These Picks?

CIN Reds v WAS Nationals: Between Cincinnati starter Chase Burns (6.19 ERA) and the Washington Nationals playing a bullpen game, this total should go to the moon in my opinion. I’m rolling with the Team Total for 'Pick of the Day' because, to be frank, I can’t remember the last time the Nationals won consecutive games (lol). Though, this shindig should see a number of runs early on. With Washington sporting one of the worst bullpen ERAs in the league, Cincinnati will put at least 5 in the bag here. Take the Reds Team Total Over to cash, as well as the game total Over to hit, friends.

NY Yankees v TOR Blue Jays: The Yankees' season is over in my mind, friends. The Blue Jays have now beaten the Yankees 5 games in a row, and that’s simply a statistic I can’t bet against. My money’s on Toronto to bag a 6th win against the New York squad this evening, and to put at least 5 runs on the board.

HOU Astros v ARI Diamondbacks: The Astros certainly have the pitching advantage in today’s encounter with Framber Valdez (2.75 ERA) on the mound. On the other side, 4 of Eduardo Rodriguez’s (5.94 ERA) last 5 starts have resulted in a loss for Arizona – I expect Houston to get to him early. I’m on the Astros to bag a win on the road.
