On the other side, the Home team is sending out Andrew Abbott (2.09 ERA) who is arguably one of their best; the Reds have won 3 of his last 4 starts by at least 2 runs. Counting on the Braves offense or their chosen starter to keep things in check here is a mistake in my opinion – I’m on Cincinnati to cover the RL.

The Padres are a solid team on their own field with a 33-18 home record, but the Mets should put a healthy number of runs on the board with Darvish on the mound. On the other side, NY starter Clay Holmes (3.32 ERA) has allowed 5 ERs over his last two starts – I think San Diego gets enough past him to push this total Over 8.5.
